I mentioned in a post a month or so ago that I saw herons back in their nests for the first time this year. Since then, I have caught only the occasional glimpse…until this morning. On my drive to work, I spotted four adults perching atop the three nests…wonder if there are eggs in the nest and the dad herons are feeding the mom herons? I am so glad that they are back…I really look forward to passing the rookery at least twice a day.
