Tired of being sick…

Head’s up…the following is not for the faint of heart…

I almost never throw up. Usually when I get the flu, it all happens at the other end. I got home from work Wednesday night, felt okay, went to bed and started feeling really strange in the tummy. After tossing and turning, trying to ignore the feeling, I was finally driven to get into the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet and immediately got up and ran for the nearest sink. A few bouts of system cleansing (at least after the first time, I knew what to expect) and I crept back to bed. This happened a few times in the night. Thursday morning, sore and very weak, I sent my boss an email saying I wouldn’t be in. The rest of the day, I tossed and turned and slept sporadically. Thursday night, I had a terrible time sleeping and, when I did, I woke up drowning in sweat. By Thursday morning, the nauseous feeling had passed and I started sipping water. That worked okay, so I sipped some chicken soup. That worked okay, so I ate a can of pears in fruit juice. I felt weak but okay until evening, when I started feeling nauseous again, this time exacerbated by heart burn that tasted vaguely of chicken soup. Last night, I had trouble falling asleep. Twice, I slept for a couple of hours, but each time, woke drowning in sweat. I also had the weirdest dreams. This morning, I have to go to work, so I am trying to get myself out of bed and into the shower. I’m sure that I would feel better if I had something in my stomach, but the thought of anything (even water) makes my nauseous again. Ack ack ack! I am NOT liking this at all.

Whine, whine, whine…

I’m sorry! That sounds sort of what I had a few weeks ago.
