Boo and I went for a walk today, looking for signs of spring. We did find some mud and the snow drifts were melted low enough that they were no longer higher than my boot tops, but nothing that just screamed SPRING. Even the birds seemed to have deserted us…until a flock of gulls descended upon the rocks below…I see gulls floating a lot, but they don’t seem to spend much time on the rocks during the winter. I suspect that something was “blooming” in the low tide kelp and seaweed and that is what attracted them, but I guess this was my sign for today.
